Didn't watch, but did watch a review of it to see how fucked it is. Merely 12 or so minutes of my life wasted instead of however long I can stand the movie, and it's basically free.
It's yet another movie that distorts reality. Women are girlbosses can do anything and everything, men are retarded pigs yet if men are given an ounce of power or even basic respect they can overpower all the smart mary sue women who don't need no man in like five minutes and the women are left screaming and crying at the unfairness of it all.
AKA the Movie send a message to everyone that men should be beaten and battered and turned into idiot slaves otherwise we will "ruin" their "Supreme Feminist Utopia" if we "Get ideas that we deserve respect" or even "Equality"
Don't know if it was literal or not, but the review I watched said that the Barbies don't even let the Ken's sleep in houses. Given how fucking decrepit and morally bankrupt movies are, I'd not be surprised if it was literal.
From what I've heard, Barbie World is complete delusion where Barbie pretends to eat and showers without water, all while smashing baby dolls because that's oppression and all women should go be astronauts, or lawyers arguing SCOTUS cases, or Pulitzer prize winning novelists. When they leave Barbie World to go to Patriarchy World, it's a meritocracy where Ken cant get a job because he has no skills and all the jobs are held by men with real skills. Rather than wish fulfillment of "I declare myself President Barbie, tee hee".
The movie doesnt even realize it's mocking its own hypocrisy by showing that the "patriarchy" is the one place where things actually work and require actual merit to operate rather than cheerleading and wishful thinking. Furthermore, the movie's entire purpose is to delude women into believing that childrearing is terribly boring compared to the other things they could be doing. Sure, maybe it is if you're the 1 in 300 FRICKING MILLION person who can win a Pulitzer. The other 299,999,999 who write shitty poetry while drinking box wine with their cat? Barbie propaganda just ruined your life.
Yeah, the first scene was a 2001: A Space Odyssey reference with a giant Barbie Doll in place of the black monolith and little girls playing with barbie dolls instead of apes. When they touch the giant barbie doll, they start destroying the literal symbology of motherhood and family.
They further try to make it seem like the "Real World" is rife with sexual harassment against women specifically, the most overt and blatantly retarded I can think of being a scene where Barbie and Ken are rollerskating on a boardwalk in the "real world" and some dumb fuck just runs up to Barbie and slaps her on the ass in broad daylight during a somewhat crowded time and everyone cheers him on or something while he stays right behind her.
Like, what? No actual people would be okay with that, and you can bet your ass that he'd have the cops called on him at the least if not have the shit kicked out of him.
Then again, I don't know how exactly fucking retarded, degenerate and cucked most people are anymore, and there's no places to do that kinda thing (Walking on a boardwalk or other outdoor venues) where I live, nor do I live in a big city, so what the fuck do I know about how city slickers think? Especially in LA or where ever that scene takes place.
But I do remember the review stating that the ending makes things even worse for the Ken dolls after the Barbies "trick," by which I mean completely writer ass pull to portray "The Message", the ken dolls into defeating themselves so the Barbies can go back to their "Feminist Utopia." Who I am led to believe already live on the streets because the women think they deserve that.
