I've read "12 Rules for Life" and I don't remember there being anything wrong with the message. Nothing bad ever happened because someone cleaned their room.

Liberals are the least liberal people of all. The impulse to force all of humanity to conform to one's own idealistic preferences is an intolerable evil.
I haven't read 12 Rules, but listened to many hours of Dr. Peterson's lectures. He used to come out with some astonishing takes, and was punished for daring to think without permission. I have to respect that much.
