Metal still has no real value though, I cannot eat it, I cannot drink it, and I cannot use it without at least decent amount of blacksmithing skills.

The products I could make from that metal however does have value, whether it be tools for farming or weapons for killing and anything in between, the trading system worked and still does in many parts of the world but jews managed to successfully place value in worthless trinkets that serve nothing more then to destroy a once great and effective system.
