Have him try some of the nootropic compounds. They help with focus for a few hours with out the addiction.

Right. I always meant to try Kratom but I kept forgetting. And since then it's become illegal in my state.

Oh. Hyperfocus. So occasionally they will just get stuck on something. My worst time I was found by a friend furiously cleaning my house naked. Because I forgot to put clothes on.
With Hyperfocus people won't understand why you can't just focus on other things. Because ADHD is Attention Dysregulation. You really can't control what you focus on.
