Is it just me, or does anyone else notice an increasing amount of typos in news headlines and articles?

I have had the same local news app installed on my phones, pushing alerts to me, for 13 or so years. It’s super common to see misspellings and other errors. I don’t remember noticing so many in the past.

Theory 1: the race to be first creats little time for proofreading.

Theory 2: quota hires

Engrish is not my native mother tongue... which is obvious, I guess. So, I leave to people which natively speak English to make his conclusion. btw. in my country I notice similar stuff. I guess that this are worldwide trend. Obviously "quality control" during employment go in the drain. Diverse hiring, nepotism, political affiliation, readiness to do every shit... Wait until they employ even more POC technicians, then shit will really start to fall apart. Typos in headlines, general ignorance / illiteracy, stupidity can work, until "technical difficulties" start to interrupt system.
