I was in germany for a few months years ago. And the place I was at had a on demand water heater. The showers were basically cold if not just literally cold. It fucked me off. I complained to some people at work and they just said in confusion and in absurdity "Why would you need it any warmer than that? wtf?". I was like wtf is wrong with you people this ain't first world. Also I mentioned to them, why is it absolutely *everywhere* I go they have auto turn off lights in the rooms and hallways etc? It's a bit annoying and seems over the top / a slight expense to buy all the equipment for that. Same absurd look "It saves electricity!!". "Erm but not that much?" "No it's a lot!!" "heh really."
