I hate the fact that I was born a decade too late, missed the era of analog phone phreaking. By the time I heard about it all in the mid-90's, it was long over.

The late 80s and 90s were the age of unprotected dialup computer access. I can't tell you how many lists I combed from local BBSes, just to see what connected at the other end. Lot of weird shit out there, even ran across some military stuff that wasn't really protected.
