Robin didn’t simply steal from the rich and give to the poor. He would ‘steal’ 1/3, give it to charity, 1/3 for his own operations and 1/3 give back to whoever to not have them obliterated. He didn’t really “steal”, what he would do is bring them back for a feast and festivities. Better than all they’ve ever had each time admittedly. And each time for the cost of this “hotel stay” was the 1/3rds I mentioned before. He was basically his own benevolent nation who fed off the rich to the poor instead of likewise. Often he would do things like take his own money and buy ie a butchers cart full of food then simply go into town and sell it for pennies for whoever seemed to need it.
