Robin didn’t simply steal from the rich and give to the poor. He would ‘steal’ 1/3, give it to charity, 1/3 for his own operations and 1/3 give back to whoever to not have them obliterated.

He didn’t really “steal”, what he would do is bring them back for a feast and festivities. Better than all they’ve ever had each time admittedly. And each time for the cost of this “hotel stay” was the 1/3rds I mentioned before.

It would be great if an accurate robin hood was made today, with the good guy stealing from the government. The setting could be an IRS agent committing fraud and getting that money to charities through some kind of clever money laundering. I think it could be a really good thriller thing if they did it correctly.
