“AFP fact check - that’s ackshually just a backup generator.”
Right. They also claim that it’s “hydrogenated vegetable oil” that is used for the generators I’m other circumstances. I’m calling bullshit.
Even if they are right, their beloved “biofuels” are still the primary reason for the subterranean reservoirs being rapidly drained under the American central plains and Rocky Mountains.
A backup generator for when the electric grid gets overloaded from too many electric cars getting charged.
In some cases electric cars help smooth out the load- when electricity is cheaper. The power company tends to have plans for this. If the power company doesn't heavily rely on solar, power is likely cheap at night. Peeker plants need to be used to make up for sudden load changes. The bidirectional plugin vehicles can really take advantage of this. I don't think the software is there yet, there aren't many electric vehicles meant to also charge others. The Ford truck is the only one I can think of. But you can also sell power back to the grid when the price is highest, have a setting on your battery pack to only sell the top 10-20% so you still have range any time you want to go.. selling back to the grid also makes it possible for higher demand for the community and the power lines don't need a costly upgrade as soon.
Exactly.
