Like yours? I think maybe you're retarded with words. A car that still drives but has 3 wheels so therefore drives poorly is not functioning. It may drive and get from point A to point B in a rickety manner but that's not functioning. A computer that turns on and plays videos, browses the web, creates documents but is riddled with malware, spyware and ransomware is not functioning. Functioning does not simply mean "doing the thing". Functioning does mean "doing the intended thing in the manner intended".
Vegetarians can't do the latter.

He's actually right. The FDA allows companies to count certain amino acids as protein content. Plant protein is not the same as animal protein. That's why unscrupulous supplement companies will add amino acids to their supplements to inflate the grams per serving they can list on the label. Yeah I guess you can function on a vegan or vegetarian diet. Hell people can function weighing 700lbs. I suppose it would be better to say you need animal protein for a healthy body.
Veganism is bullshit. I was an vegetarian (except for dairy) for a decade 20-30 yrs old. I had joint problems at that time and smart Dr. told me to knock off the wheat and eat eggs if you don't want meat. Now I eat meat, butter, lard and a salad every day. No soy for me!
