I ended up with autoimmune problems when I was 17. I couldn't wear makeup without hives. I just haven't bothered with it since and I'm in 40s. When I get sent into work (a couple of days, every couple of years - I gmhave been remote forever) the only people who bring it up are other women. I've even had other women message me on video work meetings about it. It's insane.

My bf says it's because I am so much younger looking than the rest of them, probably because my skin hasn't been damaged from makeup and sun. He says they are just jealous and to ignore them, so I do. I'd started just smiling and saying thank you for the advice when it was crap about my shoes or whatever. I do the same for makeup, now. I don't try to defend myself.
