Why, God created God of course, it makes perfect sense. He has always been around.
Wha? Maybe the universe has always been around? That doesn't make sense, EVERYTHING has a begin... waidaminute... tricky atheists, mah bible warned me not to talk to you guys for a reason!
bible warned me not to talk to you guys
Well no, it didn't. While I admit to seeing new things every time I read through it (somewhere between 5-8 times cover to cover at this point), I can state with some confidence that there is no such content in the Old or New Testament.
That said, you are actually on a solid path here, in the sense that you question what is it about a BEING ("God") that makes it more a more feasible answer than just "space and time always existed" (i.e. the universe). The impersonal, entropic universe cannot be responsible for the ordered complexity that we observe in nature (that is, within itself). We have strong evidence for an intelligent, benevolent creator.
