I’m not, and that’s the point.
No matter what caused it, it is unknown. Completely.
But whatever caused it, it wasn’t uncaused first cause.
And whatever caused the impossible beginning of our universe must be impossible. Because it’s impossible. It’s impossible that nothing could become some thing. You do understand that, right? Follow all the rules of science. The universe was caused by something impossible. So to me, what is more likely to explain something impossible? Something else that is also understood as impossible, like God, or an uncaused first cause? I think so. Because the other exclamation is something explained by all of the known rules of science, which were absolutely broken by the beginning of the universe.
Even back when I was an atheist I still understood that for the universe to blink its self into existence was impossible. So the explanation must also be impossible. The only thing I could’ve thought of at the time is being impossible was God.
Or, you can come up with another explanation aside from God that is also impossible. Go ahead, find one. That’s fine with me. I’m not gonna try to force my belief in God on you. But only something impossible can explain the impossible. And believe me, I threw all my years of study of science cannot find anything else that can explain the universe blinking itself into existence from absolutely nothing. From the time before even time existed? The universe just blinked into existence from a time before time existed? Yeah. Go ahead and explain that in some other way other than something impossible.
The only explanation is something impossible. God is impossible. Unless he exist, and even if he does, he still, in someways, and Christians would agree, impossible. Find a scientific explanation for the impossible happening. Go ahead. Go ahead and find explanation defies everything you know about science explaining how the universe blinked into existence on its own. Go ahead. Find it.
