How did these people expect that it was going to go any other way...? It's baffling to me. The Ukrainians want you to die, loudly and graphically (ideally on live television), so they can suck the US even deeper. Maybe even pull in ground troops. You're worth far more dead than alive to them. How is that not obvious?
