Nuclear is clean.
The real joke is that corporations are the big polluters. And the wealthy pollute far more than anyone else. The first thing we should do is ban private jets.
Do they have to disturb a lot of earth in the form of open pit mining to mine fuel rods or other components that go into producing nuclear energy?

It's a fucking rock. It is not bothered by human activity.
I’m referring to humans being affected by the material exposed through mining that enter our bodies and affect our health. It’s not normal to have high concentrations of arsenic, lead, etc pollute our community that cause health issues in the population. Usually these materials are isolated from our habitat but when we disturb it and it enters our food chain or contaminates our water then it does pollute our environment. Mining is necessary but it’s not like it’s a clean process like you’re suggesting. Here’s a picture from a community that I worked in next to a massive open pit. I imagine that eventually dust will cover it and plants might grow again, maybe?
