Attractive women usually have a fat and ugly friend. This is for a variety of reasons. For the attractive woman, it gives her an immediate comparison example that is much less attractive than her, making her seem more attractive in comparison. For the fat, she is near an attractive female, both making her appear more attractive than she actually is (which seems contradictory to the fist point, but these are relative impressions), and ensuring that more possible mates will be present (attracted by the more attractive female). The fat wants men to be attracted to her "pretty", but doesn't want any to successfully woo them, otherwise, her supply will be lost. The two are locked in a pathological relationship until someone gets the pretty one out somehow, though there's no guarantee that the pretty one isn't just as fucked in the head as the fat. The only way to counteract this seems to be a wingman. These days though, it's difficult to get a wingman that would be willing to take (for the team) what is presented.
