Because you expanded on all of that stuff. You also taught us it was wrong to hate someone different from us and promoted race acceptance and race mixing too because you didn't want to offend anyone. Your parents didn't think that way and their parents certainly didn't think that way. Sure you didn't open the door, but you did push them open up much wider than your parents did.
You're bitter and it's not going to help you. Your generation would have been no different, this is exactly what the scriptures teach.

Are you really going to take that road again, Bopper? My generation is different because your generation ignored us. We found our own ways because you couldn't be bothered to be parents to us. Between TV and latchkey, you made sure we were left alone as much as possible. That's why now we don't give two shits about what happens to your generation. Of course you made that easy on us by divorcing and splitting up our families which makes it convenient to not care about people we didn't get to know much. But hey, you're the exception right because you have a big family and lots of toys? And you know Gene Kranz, allegedly.
It's just a fact, you wouldn't have done any better. The technology wasn't available like you have it, the knowledge, the opportunities for communication.
People are simply victims of their circumstances, all generations, all ages. Let God judge them, he's the only one with any 'ground' to 'stand on.'
You are to 'honor thy father and mother' regardless of mistakes they made, as you would have made the same. Are you cut of some more honorable cloth, some better genes?

Yeah I know Gene Kranz casually, and others in the space program by relation. I've had one on one conversations with Laura Bush, Willie Nelson and Roy Rogers as well.
Unlike many (I'm sure) I have a conscience and shoot straight, on the net or wherever.
