I was at a barbecue today talking to a random person about how I missed the 90s and even though I was a little kid back then, I connect more to the culture and mindset of that era than I do to today's "culture" - if you can really call it that. Most zoomers and some millenials will never know a simpler time without smartphones or even the internet - which I feel is doing more harm than good to society overall.

It should be a tool, not a freaking lifestyle. I have lunch at work in the lunchroom about once every several months. It's gone from "Did you hear on the news" to silence among a dozen people all on their phones. It's so bizarre.
