Not being good at perceiving or following social norms while still having a sex drive kinda lends itself towards degeneracy. And I believe some autists like to categorize things and are overly analytical, which could explain some twitter users collection of mental disorders and degeneracy. Though I bet /pol/ and other places also have more autists than the general population. The internet as a whole has more autists, as they avoid socializing in the real world.
You can't just encapsulate everyone with a mental disability with the word "autistic". What's the sampling size of that study? Was there a control? Has this study been peer reviewed?

You're right, it could, but there is no substantial evidence to support the claim that degenerate thoughts stem from autism. Most people that are "diagnosed" with autism are diagnosed as a child. Of course they will have mental disabilities growing up being told that they have mental disabilities. That's nurture over nature for ya.

I do agree though that it's partially or perhaps even to a large extend nurture.
An autistic boy will be more "shy". And perhaps come of as more feminine. Which makes him an easy prey for people who tell him all his problems stem from him not being a man. That he doesn't fit in and struggles socially because he's really a girl.
But I still believe that autists difficulty in following social norms makes them much more likely to openly live out any sexual deviancy they have.
