I knew some might kvetch, but police normally only work for ADL in UK and nanny state countries.

This has ACTUALLY HAPPENED in various nations, with the FBI riding along with local police as LIAISON AIDS, but typically they only have their handguns, holstered, for self defense. For example, the big armed raid on a copyright "civil suit" infringer in New Zealand, "Kim Dot Com" and many other FBI raids with FBI assisting Interpol.
