Why is no one talking about the aggressive posturing NATO did that likely caused this current conflict?

Who is going to talk about it (except you)?

Because I wasn't aware of that detail until now.

The channels of public awareness, are the basis of narrative spread.

If the spread is artificially limited (such as through social media algol manipulation/suppression), or through the news ignoring it (or playing a new distraction every two weeks), then either the signal is drowned out with other narratives, squelching the spread, or people soon forget about it.

Outrage drives emotions. Generate outrage and things get done.

I found out from Al Jazeera of all places (notoriously left leaning). They made a timeline.

See below:

January 24, 2022 NATO puts forces on standby and reinforces its military presence in Eastern Europe with more ships and fighter jets. Some Western nations start evacuating non-essential embassy staff from Kyiv. The US puts 8,500 soldiers on alert.

February 19, 2022 The Russian-backed leaders of Ukraine’s two breakaway regions announce a general mobilisation, spurring fears of a further escalation.

The announcements come as pro-Russian rebels and Ukraine accuse each other of fresh attacks, and Kyiv says a Ukrainian soldier has been killed in separatist shelling.
