SHA-256 is baked into every part of bitcoin. none of you address would work. That's just insane.

Um, no. There are already quantum resistant hashing functions that are ready to be swapped in whenever necessary. This is true of ANY system that currently uses normal hashing functions.

If it's so easy, why don't they just do it? Oh that's right, you actually have to kill the coin and fork it, then everyone has to update any software that has to anything to with the old fork.

It's literally not even bitcoin at the point, it's a brand new coin with new address. So why use bitcoin at all then?
