There's a theory that the inflation is to pay for the energy it takes to run the large Hadron collider at full power. They're going to open a portal to hell.
With quantum computing EVERYTHING is in trouble.
right? like everyone information won't be "cracked" along with every security protocol for energy grid, banking, medical, government, etc.
More entropy is needed.
Larger systems like this (https://www.cloudflare.com/learning/ssl/lava-lamp-encryption/) will become more popular in the quantum computing world. You can not algo entropy.
Boom, change hash. Job done.
SHA-256 is baked into every part of bitcoin. none of you address would work. That's just insane.
Um, no. There are already quantum resistant hashing functions that are ready to be swapped in whenever necessary. This is true of ANY system that currently uses normal hashing functions.
If it's so easy, why don't they just do it? Oh that's right, you actually have to kill the coin and fork it, then everyone has to update any software that has to anything to with the old fork.
It's literally not even bitcoin at the point, it's a brand new coin with new address. So why use bitcoin at all then?
lol it’s not quite that simple, but you’re on the right track.
Pheh.... People which run Bitcoin are retards which don't have internet so they don't know about Quantum computers. I real world there is many, even more Important things than Bitcoin which can be jeopardized with quantum computers... For example, what if someone crack military codes and get his hand on nuclear weapon. Or just ordinary banking system... or air traffic control or....... Current most secure systems need zillions and zillions years to be broken with world most powerful supercomputers. But people already work on new generation of security.... And guess what... they use supercomputers and AI in this process, because stuff go too complex for humans. In short OP is retard.
Insider threat is always been the primary threat. Also, you will never stop a truly motivated attacker. There are no systems that exist that cannot be broken into with enough effort. The only purpose of encryption is to "protect" the data long enough that if the data is cracked it is no longer useful.
The weak link in the chain is usually some idiot with too much clearance that found a USB drive (or something) in the parking lot and plugged it into a "secure" system. Even air-gaped systems are not safe.
Watch videos about new tech which will make such stupidity impossible in high security envirnoment. Some really complex quantum stuff. btw. I newer buy this fairytales about USB drive or something which some retard plug in secure machine. Sound too much as cover up, damage control for some much more serious shit.
It happens and often. I would give some examples but I need to get back to work x.x
Not so simple. QC are getting interesting though. But I doubt we will see a hack by IBM or Google or Universities. It would still be illegal and we know how to find out who did it. Chain analytics may take time, but we will figure it out. Even coin washers can be unravelled. And any off boarding to fiat will get you.
I doubt any eastern europe fags will have the ability to hack with a QC.
China maybe but muddy the waters.
Post quantum cryptographic signatures will make it further difficult to hack newer chains.
And here I thought I was going to take over a hundred years.
