Again, you're not looking at the pre-1970s data and taking that into consideration. You're just taking a segment of history. It's like saying look, I can walk anywhere in the city at night and my chances of being killed are now 70% today vs 90% in the 1970s. What a huge improvement. But in the 1950s you're chances of being killed anywhere in the city at night were like 5%. It's marxist propaganda to say crime rate has gone down so much since the 70s. On what kind of scale though? It's bull crap. There are many variables at play as to what caused crime to explode in the 70s. Desegregation, economic downturns, exploding 3rd world immigration, marxist public education about all races being equal, etc. Also, whites were not used to blacks having all this freedom now. They never had to interact much with black. Now all of a sudden blacks have the same rights as whites. Of course violence is going to explode. Blacks are now allowed to go places they weren't allowed to before. Plus, there are many crimes that are not prosecuted because the U.S. gov't and State gov'ts don't seem them as crimes anymore like abortion, divorce, adultery, pornography, sodomy, usury, obscenity, etc.
