If the Indians were actually serious, they'd have sent Christians to herd groups of cattle south of the Kashmir under cover of darkness and slowly pulled out Hindu families after their holy days before cutting off all utilities to the region. That way they could easily surround the area and force it into submission without fear from liberal precision drone strikes while claiming in their newspapers that it's a new joint operation between them and the Americans to deal with Islamic insurgents.
Indian military commanders only have two real options with Kashmir. Annihilate the population culturally, or annihilate the population physically. Only one would provoke an immediate military response from Pakistan, the alternative I imagine is one they could secretly secure Chinese support for, while claiming the Americans are providing them the material support to enact it. I say this because, much like the Nazi's, the Chinese have taken solid cues from the British regarding forced/concentration camps, but applied Chinese characteristics. I think the Indians can retake the region completely, but for them it will still require using the population as a buffer against Pakistan indefinitely.
It appears that you've done your research. It's tragic that no matter where in the world you look, whenever there is more than one culture, there is conflict. Homogeneous regions are the answer to endless conflict. This, of course, is why the Jews, and the NWO cabal, endlessly push for 'diversity'. An unsettled and on edge populace is more easily controlled.
