If the pro-gun community were smart they'd know that you don't argue against the government, they'd place the argument with their neighbours, maybe the neutral ones who watch the news and are susceptible to its fear mongering.

Don't argue with a politician they're there with an agenda. Power comes from the homogenous decision of the people, not from some person in a political seat. They're just meant to be a representative of the voice, however that voice has been highjacked by people with money.

I'm using it to argue constitutional literalism which protects arms, not guns. Arms being any implement of war. You're supposed to have explosives and vehicle mounted machine guns.

In fact the idea of a government army supplying weapons was not unheard of in their day. Surely England and France did it. The fact that the Founding Fathers saw you being armed as being necessary to government having access to weapons means they intended their government to not have any. The second amendment isn't just about you being able to have a hunting rifle. It's about how the government is meant to procure arms. You are supposed to have fighter jets because the government isn't. If anything you should have shit they don't have.

This also gives people the ability to veto war. Wouldn't that be good right now. Maybe we wouldn't be giving surface to air missiles to Ukraine if we the people knew that wasn't a good idea and refused to hand ours over.

I see your point, but 'arguing' with communists is absurd. Aus.,NZ and England are better 'arguments' against the Lie of gun control. The Gov. disarmed their own people, then jailed and or killed them for not getting a Vaxx that the Gov. can not prove works. THAT is why they disarmed them and it worked. The 2nd Amendment is not up for debate.

the only way the 2nd amendment can be up for debate is to have a 2/3 vote in senate or having 2/3 of state legislatures vote on it. I think the first one can happen.
