Tuesday is named for the Pagan God Tyr, it's basically saying "Tyr's Day" Your Pagan ancestors also had a fascination with and ascribed significance to certain numbers, especially repeating numbers. We think of the Pagan Gods as being gone for a long time now, but it's amazing how much of our ancestors spirituality has stuck around. It's almost as if it's in our blood.
