Obviously you never deal with real stuff, more complex than carpentry. My personal experience is with 3D. Some dudes ask me to make models for 3D printing, but they insist on Imperial. This simply don't work. When you deal with tinny stuff you get some insane numbers. Luckily after I send them some article about this matter, they .... accept facts. btw. all articles are from countries which still use imperial ( mostly from Afro'murica ). Although they continue to nagging, how world is unfair and such bullshit. And for me is much easier to manipulate with numbers like 35.57 than 0.0234456557 or such shit.

I do deal with "real stuff". But because I'm capable of counting to 10, and I'm also intelligent enough to use Imperial, I can pick and choose what I use.

Yes, when doing machining, using thousandths of an inch becomes impractical. Meanwhile, using metric in carpentry is impractical because base 10 is mathematically a horrible numbering system compared to base 12.

If you're building or 3d modelling a house, it is far, FAR easier, more accurate, and faster to use Imperial. If you're 3d modelling small parts for an engine or something, then it is far easier, more accurate, and faster to use metric. - That's true.

But again, I live in a metric country. If you ask me the temperature, or driving distance between towns, I'll say it in metric. If I'm designing and building a chair, or doing repairs around the house, I'm using Imperial. Because I'm intelligent enough to use the better numbering system for the situation at hand.

Ok, I'm repeating myself. The point is that anyone capable of using Imperial is also capable of using metric. Someone who is capable of using metric, maybe they aren't intelligent enough to use anything else.

Either way, we live in a world where whenever someone is able to do more than others, able to do things easier, faster, better, others drag them down to everyone else's level. There are even people who cripple themselves in order to not be better than others. And the metric/Imperial debate is just one more example of this. If someone is capable of using Imperial, (then they're more than capable of using metric too) and they have an advantage over others.

And yes, the metric/Imperial debate is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. But it's one more example of how people attack anyone who has advantages over others. Stop trying to attack people for being better than others.

Also, the US isn't called Afro'murica. It's called Estados Unidos de América now. The spics outnumber the niggers there. Or you can call it something in Hebrew.
