Def poverty tier because you already have to know about the ballpoint pen stuff and even then you have to think way too much to make the connection right away. Not a bad concept though. Stick an obvious modern pen in her hand and modify the actual back to the future logo and it will graduate to a meme that is at least living paycheck to paycheck.
