No one blames animals, from mosquitos to niggers for following their genetic programming. In this case though, there were surviving witnesses (only 319 ) to their behavior that were able to give direct, eyewitness testimony. According to the survivors accounts, the sharks were neither as picky, nor as patient, as you would imply. Many of those Sailors were eaten while still very much alive.
