Probably bullshit because why would she have her dirty ass fingers next to the injection site and syringe. She is both increasing chance of infection and the chance of an accidental needle stick to self. But, needles do look like that it's not a cap pictured, it's the sleeve that allows you to stick a chosen needle guage onto the syringe. More than likely she is using her fingers to block the view that there is no needle or some shenanigans like that
