The way I see it, Covid is literally the last gasp of the Democratic Party. It's the only thing holding them together. They have no plan, no policy, no impetus, and their only message is "the white race is evil and must be persecuted." Which is a lie. Everything they say is a lie. So why are so many of them still in power? They manipulate the weak and stupid with bribes and threats. What is their primary weapon today? Covid. They created it in a lab. They probably released it into the world. They concocted fake "vaccines" for it. The used it to commit massive election fraud in 2020 and steal the presidency from Donald Trump and the Republicans. Covid is the only thing keeping them going. That's why they are so rabid about wearing the masks, taking the shots, getting the certificates, demonizing those of us who have declined to participate in their insanity. They are at sea, clinging to life by their fingernails, and their life preserver is Covid.
