Remember that one time George Washington quarantined his troops and forced them to get inoculated against Smallpox (and this inoculation was deadly for some but he said, to paraphrase, the benefit outweighed the risk)? And they were forced to keep separated from the people? Remember that one time when police patrolled the streets of Philadelphia to ensure no one was out and about and if they were, they had to have a paper on them to prove they were legit traveling and were inoculated (the equivalent of vaccine passports)? Sounds similar to Australia's policies.

And your ass was beaten in the streets of Philadelphia if you violated quarantine without a written order to be able to travel (their equivalent of "vaccine passports"). This is pretty much a straw man argument.

No legitimate pro-vax people are saying that masks, social distancing, or the vaccine are a cure and 100% effective. They're saying that it has some % of protection, by layering the protection the combined effect is greater than without.

There are plenty of legitimate ways to criticize the problems with the mandates that don't include an obvious misrepresentation of what the other side's position.
