Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should do it.
We have too much shit in our drinking water, including lead leach in some places and micro-plastics. It's why we now have basic filters on everything for drinking water.

Sarcastic or not, it has to do with concentration. We use Ammonia for making paper boxes but the shipments come in concentrated. The vapors in case of a spill is enough to take someone out. Our chemist wears a respirator during the unloading process.
