That meme about "NPCs" is real though. I kinda hate it because it dehumanizes people, but in a real way, a broad swath of the public believes what they are told out-of-hand if they are told by someone who is or seems sincere and sure of themselves. Money doesn't rule the world, confidence does. The truth is the world is no colder than it was before, not less trusting, not really. It is still mostly what it always was which, if you see it or not, far more trusting than you would comprehend.
Take for example, the boss with a badge and a nice tie at work. People will trust that guy over a floor employee, almost every time, even if they never met him before. The tie and the suit are symbols. But symbols only have authority and meaning in relation to other symbols. A soldiers opinion is trusted among civilians, but have a general walk in, and like total fools, the crowd begins to trust the general, even if they know the soldier better. This is not a universal, but a general rule that is very reliable.
And so what I mean to say is that, setting aside the head-in-rectum high philosophy, we must physically lead and speak by example those words and actions we want 'the crowd' to imitate.
People have a lot of reasons for imitating. That is, they have a lot of reasons for joining a movement, or participating too. Thats why the left says to its people "come as you are." and asks them what they can offer and what is within their comfort zone. Because the guy who shows up is infinitely more valuable than one who doesn't.
And right now, what I'm getting at is this: We haven't even showed up to the struggle, haven't even begun to fight the occupations suppression/replacement of us. Thats why it seems hopeless. Because few have shown up--so far.
And thats just it. For a long time the task of those who 'showed up', who wanted to do something, was whatever they decided on. They didn't yet see what truly needed to be done first, which was to wake the others. I'm not talking about this "woke" bullshit, or matrix garbagememes. The first most important mission of anyone that realizes holy shit, no one is doing anything!, is to make the next realization: holyshit, that must mean its MY job to do something!
And instead of going and doing something stupid, or one off--instead motivating and helping others to make the same realizations.
Great leaders create more leaders, not followers.
This is what our enemies do when they focus on "educating the masses" and spreading their ideology while organizing.
If you have this, if you understand this, if you live this, like its your last breath, your last mission on earth, then like The Word Of The Lord, then you have "the fire", you have hope.
