My older brother was severely retarded. He was put on a DnR list in hospital at age ten. It often makes me wonder how different I am than him. Do retards understand how they are retarded? I think not often.
My father refused to have another child for three years after. I think they were a bit on the wild side in the 70's, because after that they went hard on sobriety and propriety. I was accused of using drugs well before I ever encountered them. One time they thought I was poaching alchohol from the cabinet and they poured it all out and I never saw booze in the house again. The bottles were all dusty as shit, I didn't learn to drink until 25 anyway, but I digress
Damn, that's rough. My condolences, it can't be easy. I think that the severely retarded don't know anything other than their own experience. A blessing and a curse in my estimation. Just my opinion though. For the family and caretakers, that's a different scenario.
genetic. its all genetic mostly.
do not blame parents actions as long as all births were in hospital settings
Bullshit. Every other animal in nature doesn't need a hospital to give birth. We are blessed with some of God's ability, but not all.
My parents were very good, but not perfect, and they told me as much. Genetics aren't the whole story. Fetal alchohol syndrome is a peristant problem. I don't know if that was the case for my brother, but drink isn't the only chemical that can cause birth defects. In the 70's a lot of things were relatively untested , Agent Orange, DDT, not to mention vaccines
My words confused you.
I am being factual. If a person has brain damage (retarded) and was born in a hospital, then its most likely caused by GENETICS not parent actions.
Why are you claiming bullshit.
Countless things go wrong in home births on occasion, and the main issue other than maybe a broken limb, is BRAIN DAMAGE!!!!!
Yes brain damage from lack of proper technique and issues like baby position (breech), umbilical cord tangled too long, etc etc et
very small chance parents created retarded kids from actions
