That will backfire. Proof? Look at pronouns. Why are they attacking people's natural use of pronouns? Because they want using even the smallest element of language to require fear and compliance. They want language to be unwieldy. Helping them ban The would be setting them up to accomplish what they didn't have the balls to even attempt until you handed it to them.

How about this. Ban no language. Let's not encourage them to ban anything. When and if they do, we don't cheer them on. We call them morons to their face and openly rebuke them.
