An ar15 with a piston driven bolt group would be fine. No gas tubes because they gunk up and malfunction.
Would the ar with piston bolt shoot any more accurately than an ak? Or is it just better to get an ak.
If so what kind are best? My friend just got a wasr 10 for $800.

If you build an AR weapon platform with a piston driven bolt group and chambered .308 then yes I would say you have a weapon as good as an AK style rifle.
