It will be an optical scan of a QR code that only lets the individual holder in, probably in conjunction with ID or facial scan. At least, that's how I'd do it.
They'll get lazy and wont put limits on how fast the QR code scanner can be run, or how many times it can scan a wrong card.

Amazon is already working on stores with ai cameras that literally scan your face and the items you buy and then charges you for it. If you walk into a store they could set alarms off or alert the SS. You cannot escape the cameras always watching everywhere.
