It's really easy to prove when someone is lying. Ask how much $ they're willing to risk to back up their claim. E.g. in March of 2020 everyone was panicking over covid fear porn and the stock market flash crashed. I thought they were paranoid, because even worst case Imperial College of Lies wasnt predicting a +30% mortality rate, but the market losing +30% overnight indicated that belief. So instead of panic selling for zomg appocalypse I bought in big. Who was lying, me or the fear porn "muy science" prophets? I made a shit ton of money, and they bet $0. Huh, shocker, the ones unwilling to risk a dime were full of bullshit.

When people say "I (we) believe in science <here>" I always respond "That's not how science works, that's the worst word to apply to science.

Like questioning that gender is determined by chromosomes, or that IQ is correlated with race?
