I hate to say it, General Miley is following the regulations that require him to wear all his medals no matter how silly it looks. General Eisenhower chose not to, he didn’t want to look like a little faggot like General Miley. Eisenhower knew no one is going to question the general, and if they did he would commend them and move on. Ike chose those three ribbons to wear. Respect.

Edit from left to right: Army Distinguished Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Navy Distinguished Service Medal, and the Legion of Merit. I believe he was buried with just these three medals.

...In most services, even today, the option to wear only your top three ribbons is an option in most uniforms. although, I also admit to not being an expert on vintage army uniforms. especially taking into account that things change quite a bit over time. as an example, under Kennedy, hats weren't a thing.

...dude got shit done though. didn't need medals to know that.
