I was looking at setting up a solar ac unit for an rv I had. Well looking at the new split cooler systems makes it way easier. The new split cooler systems totally changed the game and made things remotely possible. Way more doable. The new inverter with mosfets and modern electronics helps a lot too. The modern advancements in solar panels has made it posible to charge the new modern gell batteries.

After cost analysis and potential technical problems, Most people realize the hassle and just give up and use gass generators.

All in all, to cool an insulated rv here on earth in the summer at say 105° heat... it cost a bunch, cover the whole thing in panels but it can just barely be done with all that 2020ish tech.

Now: the moon at 260°sunny to -280°night, in a 1/4" plate aluminum lunar module, sported with 1960s pannels, inverters, old style heavy batteries and those old super heavy and inefficient ac units. How many batteries would they need? How many pannels?

Now there's that and I didnt even mention cooling the suits or the command/service module which would each need it's own set of panels, batteries, inverters, and cooling/ heating units.

I never even tried to figure how they did that in 260° heat. Imagine for a second you in a un cooled suit walking in the nevada summer desert. How long do you think you would last? Why dont we have ac cooled suits here on earth now? It's only like 105° to 115°.

I'm probably missing a lot of technical things and I love to learn more about how they say they did things back then, but as of my rv research i have raised more questions about the moon missions.

I'm no rocket surgeon, but something doesn't smell right.

how to cool in space? dude that's easy without even thinking about it. just expand the liquid oxygen for breathing. or, even just offgas waste gasses from ambient pressure into the black of space is going to be exceptionally efficient at cooling (that's how it's partially done in the space suits).

Excuse my ignorance.

I'm interested in what you said but am having trouble understanding.

ambient pressure in space? I was told space was a vacuum. I don't know a lot about it. It's cold but the sun bakes any matter at 260°, no atmosphere to protect and no wind to cool it off. im spit balling here. The module and the suits must be pressurized by a compressor er somthin.

Are they running compressors to compress the gass? Compressors take a lot of electricity. What am I missing?

it's cool. :) I understand your question. yes, space is a vacuum but it is pressurized within the suit or space capsule. So, basically, the gasses are carried in liquid form as they are more compact in that manner and easier for transport. in order to turn them into a gas, they will absorb large amount of heat as they expand. any fluid that expands will act like a heatsink as this process is performed. going from a high pressure liquid state to a medium suit pressure state and then finally to a low pressure open space state. at each stage this process will absorb heat voraciously. think of a large tank of liquid nitrogen held at a high pressure - even at sea level. if you allow the nitogen to evaporate / offgas, it will drop in temperature.

Water is dense and will transfer heat much faster than air at sea level.

Vacuum of space won't heat/cool as fast. But I don't know much more about space stuff

For a second there I thought you were hacking my shit and was looking up my search history and my plan b. Rv. Solar generator. Was looking at the pecron 1500w. Video show better than that Jackery generator. Anyways yeah, hard to prove like anything else. But you gotta take it with a grain of salt these days.

I have lots of salt from my loonie neighbors, heeps n heeps.

Lost me on that. But yeah two of my five sisters married have families all starting to talk migration. One of them is fairly wealthy and even talking g such. My job is pretty cool but not if they’re going NWO on people. Fk that. Be nice to take a year off
