I wouldn't argue against circumcision being genital mutilation and that Judaism promotes it. But I don't think it is true that Afghanistan was reigned by Israel.

he means that >60% of Americans (...males) are circumcised and that the jew opposes any move to criminalise it.

For comparison, in the UK it's more like 1%

Maybe I'm just too careful what I say and I want to make sure I don't say something wrong but promoting something and not criminalize something isn't the same for me. You mentioned the UK with a low percentage of circumcised people but it isn't criminalized there either.

Would you consider "Afghanistan liberated from a regime that promotes genital mutilation" as a true statement?
