The invention of firearms ranks with the printing press for promoting change in world history. Having an interest in the history of guns and owning some of the historical pieces isn't unreasonable. People who can't appreciate that aren't what I would call intelligent.
History is one thing, keeping some pieces as part of that historical appreciation, fine. Pulling out a loaded 44 using the barrel to scratch your head, during casual conversation about shooting things, well, behavior like that is another.
Suggesting a trip to the range isn't scratching your head (or ass) with a loaded .44.
There's more than one side to every story, lots of context missing.
