I used to be one before becoming Catholic. There are a lot of them I get along with, but Dispensationalism, Puritianism, and Scofieldism have permeated the American Protestant landscape so much that most (like OP) don't recognize that they are spouting off a very new theologicial position which is entirely at odds with the rest of Christian history. Hell, a lot of American Protestants are Anabaptists without even knowing they're Anabaptists. There is a lot of truth to E Michael Jones' claim that a White Nationalist is a Protestant who doesn't go to church anymore. It is ironic to see these self-proclaimed Odinists and atheists taking the Christian Zionist position for granted as if it were the norm since AD 33 as opposed to an oddball idea that started in the 19th century. Ditto Puritanism which morphed into the wishy-washy "I'm OK, you're OK" Unitarianism which turned orthodox Christianity into Joel Osteen and most modern denominations into rainbow flag waving, religious diversity embracing heresies even by the standards of those who founded those denominations.
