The people asking for sources don't care about the source, just the act of you fetching like a dog, which elevates their status above yours.
You must bow to me, go on a wild goose chase for me, I know I can just Google this shit, but such tasks are beneath me. Go fetch bitch.
anyone making a claim as truth ought to be able to back it up with facts. It is impossible to debunk someones word just because they said it. get a source and you can do some investigation. The burden of evidence is on the one making the claim, not on the other person to debunk it.
There is in fact a huge problem on the right (qtards specifically) where they believe anything without a source because it fits into their world view. A big problem specifically with things that are true but are told as true with no evidence or false evidence, this is done by subversives so that when someone makes a true claim it can be debunked by pointing to the fake source.
Not to say though that asshats dont piss people around by demanding sources they dont care about.
It's one thing to point someone in a direction in order for them to get the relevant information. In life no one spoon feeds you knowledge, you have to take initiative. It's another to just demand sources if your intention isn't to gain greater understanding. The true seekers of knowledge will take all sources not as definitive, but as a clue. A fragment of the overall picture which must be pieced together correctly for the image to reflect reality.
Im all for the pursuit of knowledge and investigating things yourself but holy fucking hell you cannot learn every piece of information yourself. It would take a million lifetimes or more to research and learn all the information available to us today, nobody can reasonably be expected to know everything so i personally find zero problem with people taking shortcuts. If someone makes a claim for something to be true and i have 10 min free time before i have to pick the kids up from school i can ask for a source or scrounge jewgle for article after article of bullshit that might be what im looking for and waste hours looking things up that might not exist. Asking for a source means i can quickly view said source and jump straight into my investigation to determine if its true or not. Hell even having a source isnt a guarantee that im not wasting hours of my time reading bullshit fake news as opposed to valid valuable information. If you have information try remember where it is from so you can share it. dont be an asshat and expect people to believe what you say just because you said it, you are not a trustworthy source of information i dont care who you are, point to sources dont be a faggot.
Another tactic is to overwhelm people with sources, knowing people aren't going to go digging through every single source. It can paint a deceptive picture which leads to confirmation bias.
Claiming to know THE truth is impossible, but we can point at it and share our collective understanding, thus we can both grow as a result.
When they ask for a source or cite a source they're making an appeal to authority. It doesn't matter that the "authoritative" and/or "peer reviewed" sources are just a giant circle jerk of rubber stamps. I would trust random users on paol to provide a better peer review process than the current system, at least there is a chance they'll be honest.

Don't ask for source you fucking retard, voltaire said it I know!

Is that why he was kicked off twitter?
"Go fist your dickhole, you sloppy fed"
-Adolphus Hitleraious
You can tell from how cock-sure they are when asking for the source, that not many people fetch them a right cross to their left chin.
Not condoning violence, just helping to illuminate the terrain upon which we are currently deployed.
We breed vileness and invited in Satan through hiding our actions and behaviors behind anonymity.
https://youtu.be/XXc3O6GMZt0 Starting at 2:54. If you give them the information thats basically what happens every time.
If you keep giving people lies, and they know they're being lied to, then they're just going to start getting annoyed at you. Yet you keep pushing the same BS over and over again, and expect a different result. Self awareness, have it. If I make a mistake, so be it, but it's too easy to fake shit on the internet. We have more covid than ever and fewer collapsing bodies on the street than when Bill Gates first started trying to sell us this bullshit.
Not really. I always ask for source. If someone shits something out of their mouth i want to know where they get thenl information from may it be "muuuh covid 19 kills everyone!!!1!" Or "muh vaccine kills everyone!!!1!". Non retards may be able to source what they say or it just isnt valid.
The fact that there are 0 studies on vaccine effectiveness is source enough that you cannot say it is effective. Same for secondary effects. "Muh grsndma died after vaccine reeee!!!1!" Isnt a dource neither a proof.
What causes covid? The spike protein? How?
The same shit that causes a mild flu: a mostly harmless virus that only kills the very old or the very fat or the very unlucky.
