I have no clue what the masons are now but they used to be thr ones secretly getting together to ensure sanity ran the world and they stood against tyranny like the english throne. (at first it was the engineers...stone masons...standing against the tyrannical catholic church.) George Washington and most of the founders of the USA were masons and their belief in rational thinking is what formed our constitution. They were not the Illuminati but were aware of the Ilumunati's threat. Washington even said so in one of his letters.
