I would argue that it was wrong not to kill these assholes: if they had this kind of power to collude to fuck one man over, how many others do you think they victimized like this!?
If Marvin took some of them out, they'd at least be spared his miserable fate. By not killing them when knowing what they're capable of, he condemned others to his own miserable demise.
