I have a special bullet against dumbasses throwing a "If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear", while I haven't used it in a while. There are much fewer idiots like that these days, it was mostly during the decade following 911, that this type of rhetoric was all over the place, part of the "see something say something" horseshit convoy

And of course the reaction is "No, no... I have nothing to hide!" Really?... "No, why would I need to hide something?" etc... As if...
And then of course, it's open bar for the "Everybody has something to hide, starting with their social security and credit card numbers"
Which factually renders the situation as a "You didn't think it through you fucking dumbass...", which immediately invalidates his/her position on the matter

Everyone has things to hide, and to some extent those things should be respected. Then again, if you're willing to bear everything, including dick pics to and are ok with that, then what? Like if a person humiliates and exposes everything because they don't give a flying fuck, then what? How can you use anything against them that they haven't used already? It's like pissing in a pool in an attempt to overflow it.
